Art Meets Science (AMS) is a programme that connects scientific discoveries, technological innovation, and the future of the economy through the lens of art. AMS acts as a catalyst for collaboration between renowned artists and emerging talents from Serbia and Southeast Europe with researchers and innovators developing future-oriented technologies for sustainable economic and social development. The result of this dynamic interplay are (artistic) projects that drive new questions, inspire change, and bring pioneering ideas from the worlds of innovation and science closer to the public.
Cilj projekta je da podstakne saradnju radi unapređenja naučnog razumevanja medijuma koji istražuje putem umetničke prakse.
In the debut instalment of the Art meets Science programme, Re:people collaborated with the IMGGE to bring audiences closer to the world of biopigments. With the invitation to contribute to the year long interdisciplinary project, artists Emir Šehanović, Emilija Radojičić, Jovana Čavorović, Dragana Lukić and Sonja Lundin worked with the team from IMGGE, researching new approaches to an innovative challenge in ecological sculpting, weaving, installation art and printmaking. The project resulted in two exhibitions – at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade and the Petrović Foundation in Montenegro, guided tours as well as a retrospective panel discussion at the co-working hub Nova Iskra in partnership with the MADE IN Platform.
