The Future of work (FOW) programme explores how digital transformation, AI, and platform labour are reshaping jobs and social protection in Serbia and across Southeast Europe. Re:People is a regional pioneer in researching digital inequalities, platform workers’ rights, algorithmic management, and the impact of AI on labour markets. We ask how new technologies redefine work and how EU policies—such as the AI Act and Platform Work Directive—can promote decent work in the digital age.

We explore how innovations based on artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart technologies — in fields such as agriculture, energy, and environmental protection — can reduce rather than deepen social inequalities. Re:People collaborates with researchers and innovators, businesses, public institutions, and civil society across the Western Balkans, promoting a socially responsible governance system for the development of artificial intelligence and innovation.
