The Public Policy Research Center and the Serbian AI Society, in collaboration with the Center for the Promotion of Science, have decided to organize a series of workshops and panels under the name “AI under the stars ” with the aim of providing engaging and educational content and creating a space for discussions necessary for any society that wishes to harness the potential of artificial intelligence for the benefit of citizens while adhering to ethical principles.

The workshops are open to all age groups, especially those visitors who would like to better understand and explore the capabilities and limitations of AI through practical examples.

The panels are designed as open forums for discussion on the reach, limitations, and consequences of using artificial intelligence in all aspects of life, from public policies to medicine, culture, and media. The workshops and panels are organized at the premises of the Center for the Promotion of Science, located at Kralja Petra 46, Belgrade, either in-person or in a hybrid format.

Panel Discussion: AI and the Public Interest – Reach and Limitations of AI Use in the Public Sector – July 7, 2023.

During the first coffee-panel, we discussed the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the public sector in Serbia and globally. We talked about the potentials and limitations of this technology to optimize management, improve access to services, and set new standards of accountability. In a dialogue with experts in the field, we sought answers to whether it is possible to direct AI towards the benefit of citizens and create the public sector we deserve, or if it is just an illusion. Watch the discussion on You Tube or see the photos on flickr.
