Art Meets Science 2026 focuses on the resources, materials and processes that underpin contemporary technological life. Through artworks and encounters with artists and scientists, this year’s programme explores the connections between extraction, labour, energy and digital systems, raising questions about their environmental and social costs.

The programme brings together the exhibition Rare Earths, curated by Fabricio Lamoncha, a lecture by curator and researcher Jens Hauser, and a presentation of Victoria Vesna’s artistic practice. Across three programme strands, it examines the origins and exploitation of resources, the agency of matter, and the interconnectedness of technological, biological and ecological systems.
