The exhibition Du bist Wow reflects on the use of artificial intelligence, its influence on our daily lives and the resulting changes in our perception. The exhibition is the result of a scientific and artistic experiment conducted jointly by the Centre for Society and Technology, Re:people (formerly Public Policy Research Centre), the Faculty for Media and Communications and the Faculty of Mining and Geology of the University of Belgrade with the support of the Museum of Science and Technology.
The works of young artists Selena Kucevic, Vanja Ivanovic, Luka Petrovic, Mina Stojadinovic, Jovan Stojkovic and Andjelija Stancculovic based on the text analysis software and its use for distant reading, corpus content and word annotations were selected by Predrag Terzic, the curator of the exhibition. The artwork represents artistic experiences, models and text processing tools developed within the framework of the project TESLA (Text Embeddings – Serbian Language applications) under the guidance of Prof. Ranka Stankovic, PhD. The project is funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
In the second rendition of the project by Repeople, which places emphasis on the relationship between science and art, our partner presents themselves as the Faculty of Mining and Geology and the Faculty for Media and Communications in Belgrade.
This AMS project explores the shifts in contemporary society, empowering the new generation of artists to take up space and showcase their vision of this new society. In the world of higher technology, where the role of humanity is still undetermined, our mission is clear: to, through artistic expression, research our dependency on artificial intelligence and offer dialogue for questions which the future beckons.
This project consisted of a series of seminars, talks and workshops in which visual artists, scientists, philosophers and writers took part.
Presenters included: Prof. Dr Ranka Stankovic, Sasha Ilic, Novak Maleshevic.
