Platform work is an issue that, although no longer entirely new, still represents a challenge for legislative action both in comparative legal systems and in the legal system of Serbia.
The legal specificity of platform work lies in its “triangular” structure and the fact that it does not take place within the framework of an employment relationship.
Workers are engaged through a platform to perform tasks for a third party, who in this context is referred to as the client.
Platforms tend to avoid declaring themselves as employers, although in most cases they are de facto employers (so-called hidden employers).
