who are we?

Re:People is an independent, non-profit think tank committed to advancing a sustainable and just society in the digital age. Founded in 2010 as the Public Policy Research Centre (CENTER), and rebranded as Re:People, our organisation explores how technological transformation and innovation reshapes labour markets, economy, and the institutions that underpin democratic societies.

Known for its multidisciplinary research and multi-stakeholder approach, Re:People studies both the transformative potential of digital technologies and the risks they pose to fairness, inclusiveness, security, and decent work.

Over the past decade, Re:People has implemented more than 80 projects across Serbia and Southeastern Europe, shaping discourse, policy frameworks, and public understanding of digital transformation. We are an active member of leading European networks focused on the future of work, skills, and digital governance. Our work is driven by the conviction that technology should serve society — not the other way around.

Our credo
We believe that the digital transformation must:
Expand opportunity — not inequality
Strengthen institutions — not weaken them
Empower people — not replace them
Balance innovation with rights and responsibility
